There was a issue with our food and the manager was fast to take care of us and fix the problem. That makes a great manager. Staff friendly and welcoming. The crab legs, corn, potatoes and seafood bread was out of this world delicious. Place was clean and staff were neat and tidy. You looking for good crab legs, come here. We will be back and looking forward to it.
Came here when in the area on a business trip. Originally came by to get the lobster po boy but saw they had a Wednesday deal for 1lb snow crab with potatoes and corn for $25.95 and decided to go for that. Got it with the Pier 17 flavoring and medium heat level. Very good flavor and balance of heat. We have places like this back where I live but it’s nice to have places like this around. The Wednesday deal seemed like a great value of food. Would definitely come here again.
We've been several times and always get the seafood boils - they're delicious and so messy!! But you get gloves and a bib, lol. One of the best aspects is that you can completely customize your flavors and heat level. I got the pound of crab legs ($35) in garlic butter and Cajun seasoning, mild heat, and someone else got a half pound shrimp boil ($12) in Old Bay, medium heat. The third person got the half pound sausage boil (only $6!) in garlic butter, mild. The prices were very reasonable for how much food we got. The "seafood bread" that they bring out when you first arrive is yummy - crispy crusty bread with a creamy cheesy topping. Honorable mention of the additional side of hush puppies we got - small and super crispy and flavorful! Only complaint: when you double up to a full pound of whatever seafood you want, you still only get one little corn cob. Come on, throw in the second cob!
The food okay and the service was good. The boil my wife got had a decent amount of scallops, but very little corn or potatoes which seems like what you'd receive in larger quantities. Don't get me wrong, you want the "main attraction" but you also want a decent amount of sides. My fried shrimp basket was fine, but the fried calamari appetizer was pretty rubbery and tasteless. Overall, I'd say this place wasn't terrible, but not anything special and it was expensive.
The seafood boil was great! I ordered "extra hot" seasoning and was very delighted that it was actually very hot, unlike most chain restaurant claims of a spicy options who fail to deliver that kick. My girl got the fried catfish and it was delicious. They served us seafood bread as soon as we came in and it was a nice suprise. I highly recommend Pier 17! One of my new favorite restaurants!
Holy smokes we got the family platter on Saturday night for $65! Wow. So good and so much food. We had so much food to bring home with us. Even my 13 year old picky eater loved the crab legs.
Bathrooms were Nasty AF though! Only complaint.
I had the scallops boil with garlic butter, yummmmm. Hubs had the fried shrimp and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent. We were there on a weekday, so fewer people. It was clean and comfortable environment. Will go back.
The food was alright. Oysters were fairly priced and of a decent quality. I ordered a lobster roll which actually neither looks or tastes like any I've ever had. It was sad, colorless, and tasted like it was canned meat and not the lump claw meat is traditionally made from. The sauce was also rather bland. It's rather disappointing as this is one of my favorite meals. The best piece of food was actually my childs chicken tenders or the garlic bread with imitation crab baked in. The fries themselves had a pretty good season on them as well. Unfortunately for a seafood restaurant, the seafood game seems to be lacking. I'll return again with the intention of trying one of the steam pots for a redemption.
